The contest will be held over a ten day period between March 12-22. It will be the second time for Myanmar to participate in the Super model international pageant, during which they will be joined by contestants from 26 other countries.
“I heard the about the contest from my friend. I am trying to research about the contest and so that I am perfectly prepared for it. I have no contest experience so it will be the first time for me [to compete]. I will try my best as a Myanmar representative. I have prepared a traditional Myanmar dance for the talent show but I still need to prepare the traditional costume that I’m going to wear,” said model Zue Ngal.
This is the second time that Myanmar will participate in the contest. The reason for sending a model to contest is to have give Myanmar exposure on the international stage and improve diplomatic relations among countries, said Ko Zay Yan Hein, founder of Model Myanmar Organization.
“Ma Hla Nu Tun from Style Plus H sent a model for the contest last year and this year it’s my turn to do so. The reason of why I chose Zu Ngal is because of her attractive feature, especially towards men. We chose her because she can work well together with us and because we have taught her the needed skills for the contest,” he said.
Akari Soe Khaing contested in Super Model International Myanmar 2015 and this year it will be Zue Ngal’s turn to represent Myanmar at the event.
